Meet Me in the Garden

January 2018-June 2018

Summary

Meet Me in the Garden is a cooperative puzzle-based narrative-building game that encourages genuine connection between players. The game's elements extend beyond the screen-- an important aspect of the experience is the usage of one monitor, and a physical barrier that splits the screen in the middle. What happens on one player's side of the screen will effect the other, such as grabbing a key won't unlock your door but your partners.  Between levels, the players are asked to discuss and illustrate using sticky notes, markers, or their own words what was going on, allowing them to build their own narrative of what is happening and make.

Contributions
I focused on the design of the project, primarily focusing on how to make the total strangers feel more connected by the end through puzzles and help with the narrative. Collaborated with five teammates to develop polished cooperative puzzle game in five weeks for players to connect and share experiences by the end of the game. Conceptualized and prototyped all the Level Designs and puzzles for multiplayer based puzzles. Programmed and implemented cooperative systems for players to use during play. Presented and playtested the game for hundreds of people at E3 2019, ranging from attendees to reporters.
